The final episode of the Bachelorette finds the Bloggerettes on Galiano Island enjoying the sun, the beach and some margaritas whilst watching our Canadian beauty Jillian Harris finally found what she was looking for a lover, a best friend and a $60,000 Neil Lane platinum and diamond ring!

Unfortunately, she had to break a few hearts, go on another helicopter ride and pick out some diamonds before she giddily accepted a proposal from Chicago computer software consultant Ed Swiderski.

Her parents met both boys and her mom grilled them with 66 questions but it seemed like they genuinely preferred Kyptin.

After meeting Jillian’s parents, a few more Hawaiian one-on-one dates and an extremely drawn out diamond ring buying scene we moved to the final rose ceremony.

Kyptin was first out of the limo as Jillian waited tearfully to break his heart. At first he seemed rather upset but recovered fairly quickly and appeared to be more inconvenienced than heart broken. Somehow I think he will recover nicely as rumors fly that he will be the next Bachelor.

But before we got to the final scene with 50 minutes still left in the show so we knew something was up, a mini van drives in and Reid jumps out.

He makes a heartfelt plea, calling himself an idiot for his self-sabotage. "I was just an idiot," he repeats. "So I came back to tell you that I love you, and hopefully you feel the same way."

"I don't even know what to think right now," Jillian sobs. "I was obviously falling in love with you, and I just miss everything that we had."

"My connection with you is indescribable," Jillian says. "I mean, you were so unsure."

"I was, actually," says Reid. "But when you sent me away, everything became clear."

Wow, how original: a man who wants what he can't have.

He did manage to confuse Jillian who only this morning knew Ed was the one.

Thank God for Chris Harrison who sheds some light on that and asks her,
"Are you excited about the prospect of Ed getting down on one knee and proposing today?" he asks.

"Yes," she answers, firmly.

"Well, then, you know what you have to do," Chris points out.

So now we have the final rose ceremony with only six minutes left to go on the show, Ed goes on about Jillian's good points, then asks how Jillian feels.

"I love you so much," she cries, melting into his arms. "It was so hard for me not to tell you."

Out comes the diamond, and it's all over!

I wonder how long it will last? What do you think?

Until next season Bachelorette Fans!

It’s been really fun and I want to thank everyone for sharing their comments and enthusiasm for the blog and the show.

Have an awesome summer!

this was the worst episode

this was the worst episode of the entire season!

i found it boring.

i am glad she chose Ed. I think Kipper is too good for her and Reid is a DOUCHE. Come on dude... WALK AWAY... STOP TALKING... did he REALLY think she would choose him? She already dumped him technically. so lame.

I think the engagement was lack luster and staged and fake. And seriously... 2 months and they are gonna get married... sheesh. good luck.

After the Final Rose

OK, it was bad enough that Reid, the biggest insecure loser on the planet, came back on the final episode to try to weasel his way into Jillian's heart. It was PAINFUL watching that whole scene drag on and on.. Thank God Chris Harrison talked some sense into Jillian. Her whole problem is the fact that she's a goody-two-shoes who doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings... Reid knew that and he waited and waited and waited and hoped she would cave. I thought that was the lowest of the low. But THEN - he comes back "After The Final Rose" to confess his love AGAIN for her and what did he expect? That she was STILL going to change her mind? This guy is not the brightest crayon in the box. I could not stand the way he kept looking at her and again, waiting, waiting, waiting....for what?! Hey Reid, it's done, she doesn't want you, get over it, get a life. But then there goes Jillian, trying to smooth things over and sending him mixed messages. FINALLY she confesses she is incredibly in love with Ed and so happy. Reid takes a step back but then throws in his final bone, saying, "Well, I have more questions but I shouldn't ask them." Then makes a disgusting comment about the fantasy suite. No wonder this guy is alone. I bet he pouts after a fight too.

After the Final Rose

It was unbelievably boring, a real yawner! And all those long silences where no one knew what to say were just painful. And I don't agree with the previous poster about Reid: I think he's got it all over Ed. I think Jilly made the right choice with Ed, though, because, like her, he's a super-casual, happy-go-lucky and unrefined type of person. Kiptyn and Reid are both too polished and high-minded for a small-town woman with such simple, down-to-earth tastes.
