It's Monday night and only a few of the Bloggerettes meet up at my house for some delicious Urban Fare takeout – crab cakes, spinach salad and risotto. Delicious.
OK so this week the group heads off on another fantastic product placement adventure on the Rocky Mountaineer Train heading from Vancouver to Banff Alberta – very cool! The game is getting very serious this week, with three more men getting booted off and the remaining 5 guys getting the chance to take Jillian home to meet their families and friends next week! The home town visits are usually hilarious so we can’t wait to see what drama unfolds.
First up we have the one-on-one date with Robbie, the 25-year-old bartender. This goes nowhere pretty fast and although they both try hard it is very clear to see that Jillian is just not that into him. The sad and humiliating part was when they literally stopped the train and made poor Robby get out on the side of the tracks. It was actually pretty funny though, especially when the other dudes were watching and waving at him out the window as they passed by...ouch! Michael the break-dancer even shed a few tears which was totally lame but I think that he was more freaked out because Robby got left in the big bad “Canadian wilderness” all by himself. Overall it was a tad dramatic for our liking.
During the group date everyone goes snowshoeing except Reid. We love that Reid passed his time away on the train by getting advice from the crew about things like whether or not he should wear his glasses – sounds kind of dorky but Reid can pull it off and it was actually quite cute.
Meanwhile everyone is vying for a little one-on-one time with Jillian whilst trying to snowshoe on the group date. So far I like Kiptyn a lot and think they have great natural chemistry even though Shannon thinks for sure he has hair plugs.
Shannon has a wee little (and by wee little I mean HUGE) crush on Jesse and thinks he is definitely the hottest of the bunch which is quite funny since he just happens to look a little like her husband. We all think he is a front runner but Katherine is also all over Reid while Sonya is just a bit bored and wishes we could get a new bachelorette!
One of the most off-side moments of the evening comes when Tanner P thinks that he really needs to step it up in order to get noticed. He decides to drops his pants to show Jillian what he sleeps in but we know he really was just trying to show off his humongous package. Seriously, huge package or not, when did showing off your tighty whiteys become a good strategy to getting a rose...especially if you are the creepy foot fetish guy? Gross.
Jillian takes Reid snowboarding for their one-on-one date where the poor guy gets to hit the slopes on a snowboard for the 1st time. Both are pretty bad but they end up having a great time and we get to see a very attractive, confident side of Reid. We love that he tells Jillian that she should wash her vegetables...seriously you should always wash your vegetables! Anyway, Jillian likes him too and wants to see if they have more in common so she gives him a rose...yay!
Michael the break-dancer (Karen’s favourite) is really quite sweet and is totally into Jillian but he’s 25 and a young 25 at that. He claims he’s never had a one-night stand and doesn’t need to before he settles down but Jillian doesn’t seem so sure...could he really settle down at that age? Why would he want to?!?!?
Meanwhile to the camera we get to see Wes dig his own grave. It's unbelievable the things they manage to film him say on camera and I don’t think he will be able to blame his comments on “bad editing”. He basically admitted to being there for his own glory, fame and PR. "I'll always have Jillian wrapped around my little finger, y'all. Believe it." It’s a bonus if he gets the girl but does he really want the girl or is it just an act? Does he really have a girlfriend? Jillian has no clue he is such an ______hole. She actually says, “He doesn’t know how to lie” at the end with Chris. I think she will be mortified when she watches the show later. I guess the drama with the bad guys always makes for good television.
Once again we don’t have a cocktail party so we jump right to the rose ceremony. How come no cocktail party? I might start to agree with Sonya as the episodes do seem to be quite serious lately. We want to see the drinking and partying because you know that always leads to some good times!
Kiptyn and Reid both have roses but two more guys will get the boot tonight and it is clear that Jillian is struggling with her choice. Why she is struggling we are not sure as its seems like a pretty obvious choice to the rest of us but she pulls Michael aside to double check that the 25 year old is ready for all this grown-up relationship, babies and marriage stuff. Umm, what else was he going to say?!?!?!?
Apparently Michael worked some magic though as he ended up receiving a rose but as much as Karen really wants him to stick around, I don’t think his time in Bachelorette land will last much longer. Our two-timing Texan Wes and ‘abs of steel’ Jesse also got roses which left Mr. Perfect, Jake the pilot and Tanner P., the foot guy out.
Tanner P was surprised and disappointed that he got booted off (really?!?!?!?) and poor Jake was blind-sided – golly! Not a big shocker to any of us but we did feel bad for Jake because he is genuinely a nice guy and will make some girl a great husband one day...just not Jillian.
So next week we get to meet Kypton’s, Reid’s, Jesse’s, Michael’s and Wes’ family and friends. Can’t wait to see what happens next week!!!

Jake
I liked Jake and was sad to see that he was voted off, but as the next week's preview showed, don't be too quick to write him off just yet...
SO disappointed!
Well, after watching last night's episode, I am SO disappointed in Jillian. I can honestly say now that I hope she DOES end up with Wes because it would teach her a darn good lesson. He is a snake and lying weasel and I almost gagged listening to his "family" express their (fake) shock...and, now that I think about it, I didn't see a father in the picture. That could explain a lot. It was almost laughable, listening to his 'sisters' and their shallow comments about how Jake is just jealous of Wes. Hardly. Jake is 10 times the man that Wes is. If Jillian doesn't kick him to the curb next week, I am DONE with this show. I will not even watch to the end because quite frankly, I don't care if she finds someone and I care even less if she is happy.
