What a show! This week on Bachelorette was definitely the most dramatic episode yet with some very interesting surprises. We watch in horror as rock star wannabe Wes weasels his way in as one of the remaining final 4 bachelors and consequently sending Karen’s favorite break-dancer Michael home and Shannon’s crush Jesse, the winemaker home.

We visited the 5 remaining bachelors’ hometowns.

The first home date was with Reid, the realtor in Philadelphia. Reid is definitely becoming a strong contender these days. Carla thinks he’s a sleeper. The two of them started off a bit stale with some awkward kisses but managed to freshen it up by the end. Jillian passed with flying colors. Reid has moved up to the top of some of our lists.

The next hometown date was with Michael – Karen’s favorite. He is truly adorable but I just don’t see the love connection. We discover Michael is a twin so in their infinite wisdom they decide to do the old swaperoo and pretend Steve is Michael. Jillian doesn’t fall for it and claims “I know my Michael right away”. Too bad she doesn’t know the lions from the sheep as we see Michael go home tonight.

Kyptyn grabs the 3rd hometown date. His family is extremely wealthy and his brother Jacob is odd. They start off by giving her a wine and foodie test with homemade lasagna vs. store bought. Then she must select the best matching wine, nothing like some pressure! She passes the test so the family likes her. It was a bit of a shock when Jesse went home as he’s definitely the hottest and they seem to have some great chemistry together.

Next date is with Wes but it doesn’t really take off because we have a surprise appearance from Jake, the previously voted-off commercial pilot. He shows up solely to break the news that Wes has a girlfriend.

"Her name is Laurel," confided Jake. "We've talked about Laurel more than three times. I'm so sorry. I want you to be happy. I want you to pick the guy who worships the ground you walk on because you don't deserve anything less — and Wes isn't the guy who's going to do that."

Jillian was shocked and decided to confront Wes. But just when we thought she had finally seen the light, she gives him another chance and heads out on their hometown date. He actually takes her to meet his band where they play just for her oh, and the millions of TV viewers watching this episode. Did we mention he has a CD coming out next month?

I think she is going to regret this when she watches the show.

But Wes wasn't the only surprise of the episode.

Katherine’s favorite Ed, the 29-year-old technology consultant who left the show in Whistler to save his career, begged Jillian to take him back, saying he'd made a "huge mistake."

"I got home and I could not stop thinking about you," he gushed. "I felt like I need to re-prioritize what I'm doing, and I think I want to be here with you. I think I want another shot."

You think? I would be damn sure buddy before you come back and say it on national TV. He does get a rose though.

So our final votes this week with Michael and Jesse out of the running:

Carla – Kyptyn then Ed
Terri - Reid then Kyptyn
Shannon – Kyptyn then Ed
Karen – Reid then Ed
Katherine – Ed then Reid
Me – Kyptyn then Reid

Who do you want her to pick?

Till next week…..

Last Night's Episode

Jillian, Jillian, what are you thinking?! I certainly wouldn't have chosen Wes over Jesse. Anyone who could be a "hot potato" like he is, who was obviously promoting his band on their special date, shouldn't have received the rose! I was thinking that Jillian would have fit in really well in the Jesse, Jacob family with all the "J"s in the family! There are "red flags" all over that guy Wes. I don't know what she sees in him.

I can't wait for next week's episode when they go to Spain. I wonder who Jillian will accept to spend the night with in the "fantasy suite?"

Was she that drunk??

I am a woman and like to think that i have good taste in men. Until last night i was pretty happy with all Jill's choices but then she lost me last night. i'm starting to see why she is still single, lots of Wes's in vancouver. Some women just like being treated badly. Its so sad. Or, she was just really drunk.

smarten up jill!

I almost want to stop watching! How is Wes still there???

I am SO disappointed in

I am SO disappointed in Jillian - to the point that I don't even care if she finds anyone, let alone whether she is happy or not. I thought she was intelligent enough to see through Wes. She didn't seem to be upset that at the very least he is in it for the exposure of his crappy little band, never mind the girlfriend waiting in the wings. Why didn't she ask his mother or one of his 'sisters' about Laurel? Also, there didn't seem to be a father around, perhaps that has something to do with the way Wes turned out - a lying weasel. He makes my skin crawl. If she keeps him around next week, I am DONE with the show. I will no longer watch it because as much as I hate to say it, I HOPE she is hurt again.

Wild for Wes

Sorry, but am I the only girl out there who thinks Wes is hot? Even when he was being questioned by Jake, who was later seen bawling his eyes out like a big baby, Wes remained calm, confident and cool. Yeah, he might (might!) be a player, and no doubt he's trying to drum up some attention for his upcoming CD, but I honestly think he's the hottest and sexiest guy on the show. For the record, though, I'd personally pick Reid - not dripping in raw sexuality like Wes but sweet, smart and unconventionally cute.

jillian

wanted her to choose jake, but thats out of question,now..i think reid is pretty down to earth, and a good choice
