Heather Locklear returns to the scene of her greatest success — sort of — in tonight's episode of "Melrose Place," the unwatchable remake of the campy prime-time soap. But is her presence too little, too late for a show that's been a ratings bomb since its much-ballyhooed premiere?

I doubt it. The show's just not that good, and even though fans of the original may tune in out of curiousity, it seems unlikely they'll want to stick around.

Then again, that could just be my wishful thinking that all remakes will fail, forcing TV networks to start coming up with original ideas they way they used to.

I wish she could

Oh I miss those days, of evil Amanda Woodword in her famously short skirted suits. Working at D & D advertising, constantly beratting Billy and Allison.
This new one just isn't the same, who am I kidding, I haven't even watched it, but nothing will replace the original. Some things just shouldn't be re-launched.
