The cancellations just keep on coming this week. Not unexpectedly, Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse" has been cancelled by Fox, while ABC has pulled the plug on Kelsey Grammer's "Hank."

Although Fox is saying they will run the remaining unaired episodes of "Dollhouse," it's unclear whether ABC will air any more "Hank." I'm guessing they won't.

Hank was the weak cog in ABC's new Wednesday night comedy lineup, which includes Patricia Heaton's Midwestern sitcom "The Middle," Courteney Cox's "Cougartown" and the critically acclaimed "Modern Family." Earlier this week, ABC pulled the plug on "Eastwick," which was also dragging down Wednesday nights.

As for "Dollhouse," the show never quite grabbed fans the way Whedon's previous series — "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Firefly" — did, and, in my opinion, never caught fire creatively the way his past shows did. The final episode is scheduled to air January 22, but that could easily change.

On his website, series creator Joss Whedon talked about his disappointment over the series' cancellation and outlined his future plans: "I’m off to pursue Internet ventures/binge drinking."

I love Kelsey Grammer in this show and am very upset that they're cancelling it! I laugh and laugh when I watch it. This is coming from a working mom who rarely has time to watch the telly any anyway but I take time out for Hank. Unbelievable!
