According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS is in the process of developing a spin-off of "Criminal Minds" — to which I say, "Are you freakin' kidding me?"

That's right, the network that already brings us three CSI's and two NCIS's is going to regurgitate yet another of its cookie-cutter procedural murder-solving shows. This will mark the point at which CBS officially has more dead bodies on its shows than live ones.

Honestly, I don't know why CBS even bothers to develop new shows. They've found the formula that works, which is cranking out spin-offs of existing shows, usually starring a once-popular movie actor whose career has taken a downturn. So be on the lookout for "Criminal Minds: Dallas" starring Willem Dafoe, to be followed by "NCIS: Minneapolis" with Nick Nolte, and perhaps "CSI: Philadelphia" with either Andy Garcia or Ray Liotta. Or maybe it's time to combine shows: "CSI: NCIS." I could totally see Burt Reynolds starring in that one.

Sadly, I predict that not only will a "Criminal Minds" spinoff happen, but it will be the breakout hit of the year.

Would you believe me. . .

. . .if I told you I've never watched ANY of these shows? It's true. I'm still waiting for "CSI: Tacoma" and "NCIS: Enumclaw." THEN I'll be fully in.

Nah CG...

You have to wait for Criminal Minds: Yellow Knife... it'll be great! I have to admit I was into the original CSI, though none of the newer incarnations.

mee too. i prefer the CSI

mee too. i prefer the CSI team in Las Vegas, with Grissom and Sara. newer ones are alright. NY and Miami are lame to me.
