One of this season's most-awaited season premieres airs tonight — the two-hour kick-off to the sixth seaosn of "House."

The entire episode is set within the confines of a psychiatric institution, to which House committed himself at the end of last season, and all I can say is it's a very different episode. After watching, remind yourself that Hugh Laurie has never won an Emmy — although if there were any justice in Hollywood, tonight's episode will right that wrong, in which Laurie turns in a harrowing performance as the badly broken doctor kicks his drug addiction cold turkey and slowly re-assembles the shattered pieces of his psyche. Network television doesn't get better than this.

Doctor Heal Thyself

Oh the irony, to watch Hugh Laurie sit there at the Emmy's, stoned faced, as if he knew he wasn't going to win a statue, to having what better be an Emmy winning performance (or episode at the very least) air only a night later. This by far was the most enjoyable and best House I've seen yet.
