ABC has decided not to order any more episodes of "Eastwick," meaning the show is effectively cancelled after the remaining episodes air.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Eastwick" will complete filming 13 episodes (all of which the network plans to air), but that's it. Which doesn't surprise me, since the show was a weird conglomeration of "Desperate Housewives" and the 1980s Jack Nicholson film that never came close to matching either.

Meanwhile, ABC has picked up Christian Slater's missing-persons drama "the forgotten," ordering five more episodes.

Rumour has it ABC plans to fill the Eastwick timeslot with "Ugly Betty," which has been struggling in the ratings since ABC banished the show to Friday nights. A Wednesday slot, buoyed by successful lead-ins Modern Family and Cougar Town could breathe a little life back into it.
