Viewers of NBC — few and far between as they may be — had better be Bon Jovi fans, because New Jersey's second-most-famous rocker is going to be all over the Peacock network over the next two months as NBC's "Artist in Residence."

What this means is that Bon Jovi will be plugging his upcoming album, "The Circle," exclusively on NBC, via appearances on SNL, The Jay Leno Show, an outdoor concert on the Today Show, etc. etc. while foregoing appearing on a competing network.

"Of course you try to be out there everywhere when a new album is coming out," Bon Jovi noted in an interview with the New York Times. "So we have to sacrifice certain shows and relationships. We hope this doesn't jeopardize any of them. But in a shrinking media environment, you have to kind of reinvent the wheel."

In addition to NBC shows, he'll also be appearing on shows on other NBC-Universal-owned outlets, including Inside the Actors Studio on Bravo. And look for him on NBC's evening newscast in a segment called "Making a Difference," which will focus on how Bon Jovi's foundation has built 200 low-income houses in Newark and Philadelphia.

So you know that...

..."Bon Jovi" is a THEY, and "Jon Bon Jovi" is a HE. That's always been a pet peeve of mine, you know, people referring to Bon Jovi as "HE." Yeah, the group is named after Jon, but when people talk about a Van Halen album, they never say HE. The new album is from the group, not the solo artist.

Just sayin'.
