CBS held its gala stars party last night at the swanker-than-swank Huntington Gardens, with appearances by stars from CBS, Showtime and the CW.

In fact, the party was so jam-packed with celebs, I hardly had time to marvel at the lush surroundings and exquisite artwork (including the acclaimed "Blue Boy") since I was engaged in back-to-back interviews.

Along the way, I chatted with John Lithgow (who'll be appearing in the upcoming season of "Dexter" as a competing serial killer), "Survivor" host Jeff Probst, Toni Collette of "The United States of Tara," Ashley SImpson-Wentz (one of the stars of the CW's "Melrose Place" remake) and LL Cool J, who'll soon be seen in the sure-to-be-a-hit spin-off "NCIS: LA."

This morning, sessions from the CW, followed by afternoon set visits to "Private Practice," "Castle" and Mark Burnett''s "Shark Tank."

Any scoop on the next season

Any scoop on the next season of Survivor?

Only that. . .

. . . Probst honestly thinks Richard Hatch isn't quite right in the head, since he has no other explanation as to why he would think he could get away with not paying taxes. But he would still love to have him back on the show, because he's TV gold
