In the wake of scathing reviews and lousy ratings, "Rosie Live," Rosie O'Donnell's ill-conceived attempt at reviving the old-time variety show, is officially toast.

A mere five million viewers tuned into "Rosie Live" last Wednesday to witness one of the most spectacular train wrecks ever televised on network TV, a cringe-inducing hour of corny jokes, off-key duets and awkward banter with celebrity guest stars.

According to a recent posting on Rosie's blog, NBC did the right thing and immediately killed the show before it could do any further damage: "There will B no more variety show," Rosie wrote. "It was still a thrill 4 me. I am happy 2 have had the opportunity."

That makes one of us.
