Good news for TV viewers with NBC's announcement that "Trauma," one of this season's worst new shows, will be axed after the 13 episodes that were shot have aired.
I'll gloat for a second and remind you of how I described this awful medical drama in TV Week's 2009 Fall Preview issue: ". . . a mishmash of paper-thin plotting, cliched characters that were barely two-dimensional and some of the clunkiest dialogue ever uttered on TV — they cancelled "ER" for this?"
Let's review NBC's season so far: "Southland" was cancelled before it even aired, followed by "Trauma." Meanwhile, the unwatchable "Jay Leno Show" is doing so poorly in the ratings that it was recently beaten by a rerun of CSI: Miami, former ratings powerhouse "Law & Order: SVU" now comes in last in its new timeslot after being moved to make way for "Leno," and Conan O'Brien's "Tonight Show" is attracting less than half of the audience it did last year. NBC isn't a network — it's an Irwin Allen disaster movie.

I agree best show on t.v we needed something to take the place of ER and now its gone bad choice I loved this show seeong as nothing else is better on any station u guys suck for takin it off.
You're in luck!
When NBC decided to stick a toe-tag on "The Jay Leno Show," the network had nothing to run at 10 p.m. five nights a week to replace it, so they decided to un-cancel "Trauma" and order new episodes, so you can expect to see the show return at some point after the Olympics. Boo-yah!
Trama Was The BEST!!

a chance. After one episode this shot up
to my number 2 show. Don't cancel Trauma!
Trauma
A decent enough show that seemed to get rolling once the season moved along. Certainly it's as good as some of the stuff that appears on the airwaves nightly. Hopefully NBC will give it another shot and a 2nd season. I'm not expecting anything but it'd be a pleasant surprise.
hey Brent mr. editor
HEY BRENT FURDYK WHY DONT YOU GO AND BECOME AN ACTUAL EMT OR PARAMEDIC AND THEN COMMENT ON HOW THE CHARACTERS ARE BARELY TWO- DEMENSIONAL. ("a mishmash of paper-thin plotting, cliched characters that were barely two-dimensional and some of the clunkiest dialogue"). i HATE TO TELL YOU BUT A LOT OF THE DIALAGUE IN THIS SHOW IS ACURATE AND THEY CHANGED THINGS TO BE CHEESY FOR PEOPLE SO THEY CAN KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. THIS SHOW HAPPENS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON THE NBC NETWORK RIGHT NOW. FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMMENTED ON HERE WRITE THE NETWORK AND LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD ABOUT NOT WANTING THIS SHOW CANCELED.
Holy crap!
Do you have to YELL so loud? My eyes hurt!

reply
I think Nbc is dumb for taking this show off. I am really hurt because all other medical shows I don't like. Please put it back on. All my friends were looking forward in seeing this show.
Ms Concerned and Very unhappy lady
WTF NBC?
Trauma was the best show I've seen in a long time! What's wrong with it? Is there any new show they WON'T cancel?! They are so stupid for taking off Mercy and Trauma. Unbelievable. I just wish they would give these new shows a chance (like a couple seasons at least).
